Matthew J. Schaefer is a native of Wichita, Kansas. He received his undergraduate degree from Wichita State University, Wichita, KS (B.B.A., magna cum laude, 1996) and obtained his legal education at Washburn University School of Law (J.D., with Honors, 2000). While attending Washburn, he was a member of the Washburn Law Journal, and his case comment, Individuals with Disabilities Act: “Related Services” versus “Medical Services?” 39 WASHBURN L.J. 143 (1999), was published.
Mr. Schaefer practices in Civil Litigation with a focus in the area of workers’ compensation law. He is licensed to practice in the courts of the State of Kansas and the United States District Court for the District of Kansas. Mr. Schaefer is a member of the Wichita Bar Association, Kansas Bar Association and the Wichita Young Lawyers Association.
