Robert G. Martin is a native of Wichita, Kansas. He is a graduate of Wichita State University (B.S., cum laude, Major - Accounting 1978) where he served as President of the Wichita State University Chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi national business fraternity (1977-78). Mr. Martin received his legal education at Washburn University (J.D., cum laude, 1981). While attending Washburn Law School, he served on the Board of Editors of the Washburn Law Journal (1979-81) and was published twice in that journal. He is licensed to practice in the courts of the State of Kansas, the United States District Court for the District of Kansas and the United States Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Martin is also a 1998 graduate of the College for Financial Planning.
Mr. Martin has an active legal practice with an emphasis in the areas of Civil Litigation (including defense of school districts, cities and counties), workers’ compensation, and Professional Liability Defense. He has also represented clients in matters before the State Securities Commission and the N.A.S.D. (National Association of Securities Dealers). He has testified before various Kansas legislative committees and has lectured at seminars in the areas of Civil Litigation and workers’ compensation. Mr. Martin is a member of the Wichita Bar Association, Kansas Bar Association and American Bar Association.
