Alvin D. Herrington received his undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas (A.B., 1955) and his law degree from the University of Kansas Law School
(L.L.B., 1958), graduating with honors (Order of the Coif). Mr. Herrington is a litigation attorney practicing in the areas of toxic tort, drug and other
Product Liability actions, insurance coverage and litigation, automotive liability, Personal Injury litigation, and multi-district, commercial and class
action litigation.
Mr. Herrington has authored substantial legislative changes in the Kansas Workers’ Compensation Act and was the original author of the Kansas
Products Liability Act. Mr. Herrington has testified before various Kansas legislative committees and has written articles in legal publications related to his
areas of practice. He is an elected member of the Federation of Insurance Defense Counsel, the Defense Research Institute, and the products liability, torts,
and insurance sections of the American Bar Association.
Mr. Herrington is licensed to practice in the courts of the State of Kansas, the United States District Court for the District of Kansas and the United States
Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. He is a member of the Wichita Bar Association, Kansas Bar Association and American Bar Association.
